QMAC has undertaken the complex refurbishment of eighteen individual nineteenth century cottages on behalf of the Charles Shiels Charity.
The restoration of Lorne House, a Grade B+ listed Building, was successfully completed timeously and within budget. The works comprised inter alia the replacement of Penrhyn Welsh slate together with substantial replacement lead works. The works included replacement of roof timbers and the splicing in of new roof timber. A particular feature of the works was the replacement of a number of feature chimney pots dating back to 1875.
The renovation of 18, 19 and 20 Magazine Street, Londonderry was successfully delivered timeously and within budget and involved the complete refurbishment of existing buildings to provide headquartered office accommodation for North and West Housing Association whilst sympathetically maintaining the original appearance and façade.
