Restoration Work Complete at Dundalk Monastery
A project which involved restoration work at St. Joseph’s Monastery has been successfully completed.
The site comprised a protected Monastery, a four-storey residential block, and auxiliary buildings. Using a heritage approach, the project centred on the extensive refurbishment and restoration of the Monastery and adjoining building as well as the construction of a new extension.
Sean Mullen, Contracts Director at QMAC Construction commented,
“This was an extensive project. Using the principle of minimal intervention, the work was undertaken to repair and improve the building structure and fabric for future generations. We would like to thank all involved including the site management team and supply chain members for delivering an exceptional level of craftsmanship.”
