Construction of Landmark ‘Gateway’ Centre Set to Commence

Antrim and Newtownabbey Council has commissioned a c. £2m+ Design & Build project to construct ‘The Gateway’ building in Antrim. QMAC Construction, through a competitive two-stage pre-qualification and tender process was successfully appointed. The project, part funded by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), and Lough Neagh Landscape Partnership, will result in the creation of a new multi-faceted building, which will be home to Lough Neagh Rescue. It will also host ‘The Boathouse’ restaurant, with an outdoor terrace offering views across Lough Neagh. Construction is set to commence soon.
