The work included:
Extensive stonework restoration to reverse unsympathetic additions.
Significant structural work to the roof and ground floor.
Refurbishment and re-alignment of the roof.
Re-plastering internally.
Retention and refurbishment of sash/stained glass windows and doors.
Complete internal refurbishment.
Installation of new M&E services.
Construction of a new extension to match the existing building structure.
Removal, restoration and reinstatement of external metalwork railings and gates.
Completion:
The project was successfully handed over on time and within budget.
The client commented on completion, “Credit for the success of the project must go to QMAC Construction and their team. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using them again, and I would be pleased to recommend them, wholeheartedly”.
Such was the exemplar quality, it won the CEF Construction Excellence Award 2016 in the Restoration category and won the UK-wide award for ‘The Best Use of Tiles in a Commercial Contract’ in 2016.
