Refurbishment Work Complete at Ulster University Magee Campus
A c. £3m project which comprised fast-track refurbishment and alteration work to Block MF on the Ulster University Magee campus has been handed over. The aim of the project was to accommodate the teaching requirements for the relocation of the School of Health Sciences undergraduate Degree programme to Magee. The completed refurbishment provides a mix of specialist teaching spaces, staff offices, meeting rooms and ancillary accommodation.
Sean Mullen, Contracts Director at QMAC Construction commented,
“This was a challenging project as it involved working in a live University estate. Ensuring dust, noise, vibration, and nuisance were avoided was a priority from the outset. The project also involved an intricate mixture of new services which required a lot of coordination. We had a great team assigned to this project including an experienced Site Manager and dedicated supply chain members who all pulled together to ensure it was completed in time for the new semester commencing. We are delighted with the end-result.”
