Upgrade Work Complete at Magherafelt School
A project at Rainey Endowed School in Magherafelt, which was secured through a competitive tender process, was successfully handed over in August. The project involved heating upgrades, the relocation of the library, the provision of a Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant Reception Counter, alterations to the ramp at the entrance, and the creation of a new secure lobby at the entrance.
Jack Bothwell, Contracts Manager at QMAC Construction, commented,
“The School has now got upgraded facilities which is a welcome addition to the already impressive School infrastructure. The key to undertaking a construction project within a live School environment is to ensure that all construction work is pre-planned to keep any potential disruption to an absolute minimum. Credit must go to the Site Manager and the team for ensuring that dust, noise, and vibration, were all carefully managed. We are delighted with the finished result. We wish the staff and pupils well for the future.”
